Projects with Industry (PWI) is a U.S. Department of Education grant program focused on providing viable career options to youth with disabilities through job skill development and experience at local businesses. Youth Potential’s purpose is to create and expand career exploration, job search assistance, job placement, training and support services for youth with disabilities in the competitive labor markets of Ramsey County and Northeast Minnesota Workforce service areas.

Youth Potential staff provides employers and businesses with ready-to-work employees and assists young adults with disabilities in their transition from school to work. Services include:

  • Job application and interviewing etiquette
  • Job training / shadowing / hardening
  • Job placement
  • Employment follow up
  • Mentoring program
  • Technical assistance for staff, parents and families
