The MDI Success at Work Fund was established in 2006 with the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation to support high school-age youth with disabilities and disadvantages as they transition from school to work.

Recognizing that high school is the last institution that all students will attend, the fund may be utilized to build new curriculum models or enhance current programs. School work readiness programs must demonstrate quantifiable outcomes including making progress toward developing basic math, reading and writing skills, and demonstrating basic employment characteristics including dependable attendance, appropriate work habits, social skills and attention to quality and productivity.

Contributions to the Success at Work Fund are generated by MDI’s plastic extrusion and conversion operations located in Grand Rapids and Hibbing, Minnesota.
