FAQs

Contract packaging is the outsourced process of packaging a manufacturer’s product on their behalf, from primary packaging (the immediate container in contact with the product) through secondary packaging (retail-ready cartons, shrink-wrap, and shipping cases). MDI offers full-service execution under audited ISO quality systems.

We offer heat sealing, induction sealing, blister sealing, and sterile barrier system (SBS) sealing. Each method fits different product and package types: heat sealing for pouches and films, induction for capped containers requiring tamper evidence, blister for retail-visible products, and SBS for medical device applications requiring sterility.

Our customers span medical device and healthcare, industrial and OEM manufacturers, retail and consumer products, and agricultural producers. Each industry has different requirements around materials, labeling, and quality documentation, and our processes flex to match.

Yes. Many customers use us for the full workflow: primary packaging of the product, followed by secondary packaging into retail-ready displays, cartons, or shipping cases. Handling both under one roof reduces handoffs, tightens quality control, and simplifies logistics.

Yes. Our labeling services integrate directly with packaging, covering primary and secondary labeling, over-labeling, UDI compliance for medical work, and serialized traceability.

Send us your product specs, target packaging format, expected annual volume, and any regulatory or labeling requirements. Our team will walk through the workflow, propose a solution, and quote the project. First-run production is typically executed as a pilot for approval before scaling.
